In the summer (May thru September) you may catch lots of Bull Reds and large sharks. But you may find Flounder, Jackfish and Mackerel at the end of your line as well. In early spring (February and March) the annual Galveston Jetty Drum Run is in full swing and encounters with Large Drum, exceeding 25 pounds, can be expected. In the fall, the annual migration of flounder from Galveston Bay thru the Jetties and ultimately offshore is occurring and this the perfect time to intercept these tasty fish.
You will be fishing with one of two specialized fishing guides on this tour. The first guide is Captain Donnie, who moved to the Galveston area in the mid 1960’s where upon his father promptly purchased a 25’ cabin cruiser. He knew at an early age that boating, fishing and being on the water was for him. He's fished Galveston Bay, the Galveston Jetties, and Galveston offshore most of his live. Having operated sportfishing boats has given him the opportunity to fish from Galveston to Mexico, Florida and the Bahamas.
The second guide is an avid and skilled outdoors man and family man, Capt. Brad has been fishing the Galveston Bay and jetties since he was a kid. He is a highly skilled angler and takes pride in his profession – which you will see first hand when you get out on the water with him. Capt. Brad enjoys putting customers on the fish – from the skilled angler to the new comers just trying to enjoy a day on the water. He also enjoys educating customers on methods and equipment used to catch the many species of fish in Galveston Bay and jetties.
