Allow yourself a special day on a very “hunted” route from Romania! Taste the best wines in the country from the cellars where they are made, see the vast vineyards and learn about the traditional wine growing process. Highlights include Cellar Museum in Valea Calugareasca, Bellu Manor, Rotenburg vineyard and Urlateanu Manor. Our tour starts with the Cellar Museum in Valea Calugareasca Village, a small museum where one can find old tools, barrels and wine jars.
After only 8 km, we reach our top destination, Urlati town, where we can find a remarkable old manor, built at the half of the XIX century in a typical romanian architectural style: Bellu Manor.
Then we go on on our route and make a new stop in Ceptura Village for a cart ride through the Rotenburg vineyard ( included in the price). We will also visit the cellar and, for those of you who are curious, you can also taste some of the wines made here.
We will spend most of the time back in Urlati village, by Urlateanu Manor, also a traditional manor and wine cellar, beautifully preserved and located on the top of a hill from where one can see the entire village.
Here we will take the time to taste 5 different wine sorts while learning about the wine growing process (included in the price). The cellar is also a restaurant, so you can also order something for lunch here.
In the afternoon, we return to Bucharest.
