Full-Day Uros and Taquile Island Tour from Puno

Spend a full-day exploring the islands of Uros and Taquile while accompanied by a professional guide. Interact with the locals of each area so you may learn of their customs and traditions. Enjoy transferring between islands using a speedboat, as well as a traditional meal later in the day.Meet your guide in the lobby of your Puno City hotel at 7:10am to start the day. Then, begin your drive to the port of Lake Titicaca. From there, you will take a motorized boat to the first stop, the floating Islands of Uros. Here, you will be able to see small communities and families that live on islands made of totora reeds. Witness the local people as they create items from the reed, including houses, artwork, and boats. The guide will tell you all about the lifestyle of the residents and some history.

After your tour of Uros, head to the Island of Taquile and begin a stroll along a wide trail that holds impressive views of the lake. Pay a visit to additional locations where traditional artwork is made. Come lunch time, you will take a break at the home of a local family to enjoy some of the typical food. The boat will then take you to the Port of Puno and arrive at about 3:50pm. Upon your arrival, board the awaiting vehicle and journey back to your Puno accommodations.
