This day tour from York takes you to Haworth, Harrogate and Skipton. The morning will be spent in the village of Haworth, famous for the Bronte Sisters and their Parsonage. There will be time to explore the village, before heading to the historic market town of Skipton for lunch. In the afternoon the tour will visit the famous Spa town of Harrogate, home Betty's Tea Room!Leaving York you make your way to the beautiful cobbled village of Haworth, which is known for its association with the Bronte Sisters. There is also chance to see the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, and time to go into the Bronte Parsonage (opening times may vary, entry extra).
On leaving Haworth the tour heads to the famous Ilkley Moor, which is known for being the inspiration for the Yorkshire ‘county anthem’ – On Ilkla Moor Baht ‘at (‘on Ilkley moor without a hat’). There will be time to take in the views and a stop for photos.
Skipton is the stop for lunch which was recorded in the Doomsday book, the market town’s castle dates back to 1090. On Friday the town will be bustling with locals visiting the town’s market. You will have time to explore Skipton, a great opportunity to walk along the canal or enjoy one of its many tea rooms.
From here you head to Harrogate, Yorkshire’s famous spa town, where you will have free time to enjoy the world renowned Betty’s Tea Rooms or the Grade 2 listed Royal Pump Room.
After Harrogate you then make your way back to York.
