On this 10-hour tour, explore Sonargaon, the ancient capital of East Bengal, which is now is one of the top attractions in Bangladesh. Travel back in time and see sites such as the abandoned Panam City, the Folk Art and Craft Museum, the ancient Goaldi Mosque, the Replica Building of Taj Mahal, a Bamboo Made Primary School and Meghna River Boating.
Your tour beings with a pick-up from your hotel in Dhaka. The drive to Sonargaon will take approximately 1.5 hours. Your first visit will be Goaldi Mosque, a 500 year old pre-mughal architectural example of Bangladesh. Your next destination is Sadar Bari which has been turned into the Sonargaon Folk Arts and Crafts Museum. After that you will visit the abandoned city named Panam. The Hindu religious people left this place during the partition of India and Pakistan.
At around 1pm, you will have lunch at a local restaurant to enjoy delicious Bangla food. Once done, visit a Hindu temple and a primary school made of bamboo, attended by underprivileged children. Later, you will embark on a boating adventure on the river Meghna to a small island where you can see daily life of farmers in Bangladesh. If time permits, you will visit the replica building of the Taj Mahal.
