A visit to Dominican Republic is not complete without exploring Santo Domingo, the first city of the New World, and today the capital of the Dominican Republic.
Visit some of the most spectacular places of this rich colonial city including: Diego Colon’s Palace (Son of the conqueror) and headquarters of the conquerors for many years, The Holy Cathedral Maria the Minor, the Museum of the Royal Houses and the beacon dedicated to Christopher Colon.
You will enjoy lunch and 45 minutes of free time in the heart of the old city, where you can shop and explore on your own before your return to Bavaro. On your way home, there will be a stop at the famous “Los Tres Ojos” caves. This is a full day tour and involves traveling to and from Santo Domingo which is a three and a half hour drive each way.
