Your first stop will be at the Queluz National Palace, an 18th century palace inspired by the Versailles palace in France where one of the most beautiful and well maintained french gardens in Portugal can be seen. Afterwards, head to the center of Sintra, where you can enjoy free time to enjoy the traditional pastries at a local tea house. You can even pay a short visit to the Village Palace, an 11th century palace, that has been transformed throughout the centuries and is now one of the most emblematic places of Sintra.
On your way to the Monserrate Palace and Park, you will see the 18th century palace of Seteais. Then, head over to the Pena National Palace where you will visit the castle and park. After lunch, head to the Cabo da Roca, the most western point of Europe, where you can get a Certificate of your passage through this point, written in french calligraphy. Next, pass by the beach of Guincho, heading towards the Hell's Mouth, a natural cluster of caves and tunnels in the sea and then the Royal Village of Cascais. From here, you will take the scenic coastal route back to Lisbon in time to taste the famous "Pastéis de Belém", a typical custard cream cake.
