Enjoy a day exploring the landscapes and artistic small towns that Tuscany has to offer. In this full day shore excursion with a private English-speaking driver you’ll be able to visit Pisa and Lucca. Pickup and drop off will be at the port of Livorno, right outside your ship.The tour will start with pick up from the port of Livorno. An English-speaking driver with a private minivan will be waiting for you right outside your ship, holding a sign with your name on it. He will be with you during the entire day, even if he’s not permitted by law to walk with you around the small towns once you reach them. He will still be able to give you information on what you’re going to visit, and since the tour is private you’ll be able to customize the itinerary.
The town of Pisa is famous mostly because of the leaning tower, which is actually the bell tower of the town’s cathedral. During a visit of Pisa, of course the leaning tower will be the must see but many more interesting sites can be visited, such as Piazza dei Miracoli, the Cathedral and more if time allows.
Lucca was founded by the Etruscans, and nowadays it’s famous for its walls dated to the Renaissance era. During the time you’ll spend in town you’ll be able to walk along the walls. You can also see some of the main squares, the Guinigi Tower, and of course the Cathedral of Saint Martin. Some leisure time will be allowed for shopping.
At the end of the tour the driver will take you back to the port of Livorno, right outside the ship.
The tour will be a total of 9 hours from pickup to drop-off. Suggested pick up is at 8am, no later than that.
