Explore Portugal's great outdoors in this full-day tour of Nordeste in Azores. This small group tour is perfect for enjoying nature in its purest state. On this tour we visit beautiful gardens, viewpoints, natural parks and waterfalls located in the South, East and North part of the island of São Miguel. Take the road that travels along the North coast to reach Nordeste, usually referred as the 10th island for its remoteness and the oldest geological part of São Miguel. Mountains, woods, waterfalls, belvederes that rise over the sea, beautiful villages and a multitude of flowers mark this area. The local people are warm-hearted and cheerful. Here is possible to find genuine handicrafts and delicious gastronomy, which we will have the chance to see and taste at our stop at Nordeste village. After lunch we continue the tour around the island eastern end until we reach the village of Povoação, the place where the first settlers set foot on the island. We finish the day with a stop at Salto do Cavalo belvedere and return to Ponta Delgada.
