This is a full-day heritage tour of Nepal where you will visit the Pashupati Nath, the Boudha Nath, the Monkey Temple and the Kathmandu Durbar Square with an experienced tour leader. The sites you will be visiting are listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You will experience the local architectural work, visit monuments and experience local culture and customs. Your tour leader will explain everything in detail regarding the sites where you are visiting.For this World Heritage tour in Nepal, you will meet at 9am at the local tour providers office in Kathmandu. (Hotel pickup from centrally located hotels in Kathmandu is also available.) Your tour leader give a briefing about your day tour.

Then you will visit the Monkey Temple which was built in the 5th century. The Monkey Temple is the perfect place to take in the view of the Kathmandu valley. Many monasteries and temples are around this area. You can also see the Ganesh Himal mountain range and the Chandra rigi in the south. After approximately two hours, you will be transferred to the Kathmandu Durbar Square, a historical palace.

There is much to see at the Kathmandu Durbar Square which was built in 16th century. This was a Rana regime palace until 18th Century. After the 18th Century, Shaha dynasty ruled the country. Visit the markets and the Kumari House, a living Goddess and visit a century old monument, local markets and the Pagoda Temple then proceed to the Pashupati Temple.

The Pashupati Nath Temple was built by Bhuktaman, the Lichhavi King. It is the pilgrimage site of Nepal and many Hindus worship to open the gate of Nirvana after their death, and this is the inhabitant of the God Shiva. There is a big forest just opposite the temple. After learning about the history of the temple and the Hindu belief, you will be transferred to the Bouddhanath Stupa.

Your tour leader will take you the Buddhist place at the Bouddhanath Stupa for your peace and happiness at the end of the day.  Boudhanath Stupa is 118 feet (36 meters) in height and built just after the passing of the Lord Buddha. According to legend, Boudhanath Stupa was built during the 5th Century AD by an old woman who asked the King for land to build a shrine dedicated to the Buddha. This Stupa is the largest Stupa in South Asia. 

After the completion of the tour, you will take a drive back to the departure point.
