Departing from Maun in the early morning, the game drive will pick you up at your lodge or hotel in Maun before heading to Moremi Game Reserve.
Moremi Game Reserve is about 100km from Maun, and you can expect to spend 5 to 6 hours of the day on a safari game drive. We bring packed lunches with us and assure you that the place we stop for lunch is more exciting than your usual spot at home!
Warm clothes are necessary during the winter months and rain gear during the rainy season (from late November to late March). Once you pass through the “Buffalo fence”, (about 1 hour out) you will be in some of the top wildlife areas that Africa has to offer.
You are sent out with a light breakfast of tea, coffee, cereal and rusks to have a little before you reach the park gate. At midday your guide will pick a scenic spot for you to have a lunch of breads, cheeses, cold meats, salads and fruit. We send 2lts of bottled water per person and can supply a cooler with ice for anyone wishing to take extra drinks.
