Your guide will then take you into Luderitz which is about a 10 minute drive. Luderitz is a harbour town in south west Namibia, lying on of the least hospitable coasts in Africa. Just like Swakopmund, Luderitz is rich in colonial architecture. After the town tour you will enjoy lunch overlooking the harbour of Luderitz.
You will then return to the airstrip for the scenic flight back to Swakopmund. You will fly north along the Skeleton Coast that demonstrates the harsh environment with the remains of several stranded shipwrecks. You will past several seal colonies and the natural harbour of Sandwich Bay, which is now home to several bird species. You will see the Saltpans just to the south of Walvis Bay where they produce about 750,000 tons of high quality salt per year before returning back to Swakopmund.
