During this full day JSA tour, you will have a chance to visit the War Memorial of Korea, Unification Park, Imjingak Bridge and the UN Camp Bonifas. The JSA is actually a part of the DMZ but it has stricter guidelines and is more intense because at the JSA you will be able to see the standing guards from both North and South Korea!First meet up with your guide at a hotel in the center of Seoul. The first stop is the War Memorial of Korea which once used to be the headquarters of the Korean Infantry. Next, you will visit Unification Park, which was built to pay tribute to the soldiers who fought in the defense of the South during the Korean War. People also come here to pray that someday unification will be possible.
In order to recuperate, lunch will be provided, which typically is seasonal local food.
After lunch, you will hop back on the bus and pass by Imjingak Bridge, which South Koreans crossed when they came back to their mother country from North Korea. Then, arrive at the UN Camp Bonifas to get a briefing, then visit Panmunjom, the only place where North and South Koreans can come in contact on a daily basis.
The JSA area is located in a very intense area of the world, so be prepared to go through an uptight security checkpoint. Your passport WILL BE required on the day of the tour. Please see the "Important Info" tab for more information about the regulations surrounding this tour.
