Grand Teton is just outside the town, making this tour a very convenient excursion. You will be picked-up from your place of lodging anywhere in Jackson or Teton Village. Arrangements may be made to meet lodgers staying in outlying areas at a convenient location. The tour will then head directly into Grand Teton National Park to begin exploring the breathtaking landscapes and amazing wildlife found within the park. The morning starts with a drive up the Gros Ventre River toward Kelly and Mormon row. A great area to spot the moose, bulls and cows alike. Then, onto a bit of history along Mormon Row, and back toward Moose Junction afterward. Head into the heart of Grand Teton along the Park Loop Road with the first major stop being South Jenny Lake. You'll have the opportunity to spend two hours taking the Jenny Lake ferry across the lake to Cascade Canyon for a short walk to Hidden Falls, and for the more adventurous visitors, up to Inspiration Point.
Upon our return from Cascade Canyon, you'll head north just a few minutes to String Lake for a picnic lunch.
After lunch, head north on the Park Loop Road toward Jackson Lake, exploring such points of interests as Signal Mountain, Jackson Lake, Willow Flats, Colter Bay, Oxbow Bend, Elk Ranch Flats, Dead Man’s Bar, Snake River Overlook, and many more. Generally returning to Jackson by approximately 3:30.
In addition to the many spectacular vistas and natural wonders that Grand Teton National Park has to offer, you will also have the chance to view the multitude of wildlife that makes Grand Teton it’s home - bears, wolves, elk, moose, deer and eagles all are common sights along the tours.
