Join this culinary journey through Cape Town, showcasing the best of South Africa's artisan producers and creative places. From cheese makers to chocolatiers, charcuteries to craft beer breweries, world-renowned wines to traditional snacks; let Cape Town show you why it is an amazing culinary destination.Start your day with a walk and history lesson on the many cultural and culinary influences in Cape Town. Your first stop is Woodstock, a vibrant hidden gem on the outskirts of town, where you will have a great cup of coffee or tea at one of the many exceptional coffee roasters within this area. Your next stop in Woodstock will be a craft brewery for a beer and food pairing.
After Woodstock, head back to the city center for a walk from Heritage Square up Bree Street, Cape Town’s coolest strip, coveted by locals and tourists alike. Along the way, you will sample some artisanal chocolate and truffles, and sink your teeth into South Africa’s best biltong (a dried and cured meat).
Next, it's off to the iconic and colorful district of Bo Kaap. Once in the Bo Kaap, you will sample the delights of the Cape's Eastern traditions, including samosas, koeksisters (a type of doughnut or fried dough), and spices. Finish the tour with a tasting of locally-produced cheeses and the best of the Western Cape's wines.
Just in case you haven't had enough, your guide will be available to direct you to the city’s vibrant art scene at ‘First Thursdays’, or the Hope Street Night Market. Tour duration is approximately 10:00am to 6:00pm. Exact tasting locations are subject to change according to season and availability.
