This is a full day tour that takes you back in history to the first colonized town in Antioquia called Santa Fé de Antioquia. It is one of the most significant villages in our geography due to the arrival of Spanish troops more than 400 years ago.Stops are made at a rural cable car (Gondola) that displays the whole Cauca Canyon that you are about to explore during the rest of the day. Once at Santa Fé de Antioquia, you will enter local museums such as Juan Del Corral and the Occidente Bridge which was designed by a local engineer who also worked on Brooklyn’s bridge. Your guide will tell you everything there is to know about the origin of Paisas in Medellín.

Your professional guide will meet with you at your hotel and then embark on a personalized tour by an air conditioned car.
Tour heads northwest to one of the most fascinating scenarios just outside the city. San Sebastian is our destination, where amazing views of the outskirts can be shared. Upon arrival to this first stop you may walk around to take photos. There are cafeterias and restaurants and we suggest bringing cash since not all shops take cards.

Your professional guide will make a fascinating stop at Santa Fé de Antioquia, distinguished by its classy architecture and cultural heritage. Once there, a walk around the town, before or after lunch, will be the best way to check out the elegant religious churches and the history. The best place to experience the colonial times is the Juan Del Corral Museum which gathers objects, documents and historical facts on the colonization of Antioquia.

During the afternoon, the tour visits the Occidente Bridge, part of the national heritage which is not longer used by cars since it is more than 200 years old, but it has free access and you are free to walk around and take pictures of the spectacular views before going back to Medellín at the end of the day.

It has already been a pleasure introducing you to the most fascinating scenarios and traditions of the Paisa culture and our team definitely looks forward to welcoming your family and friends in the near future.

After approximately 8-hour of a fantastic journey through history of colonization in Medellín, your private driver/guide takes you back to your hotel or any other location you feel like.
