Full-Day Cape Town Based Wine Safari with Wine Pairing and Franschhoek Motor Museum Experience

This estate wine drive safari and motor museum private tour for couples or small parties takes you to an award winning wine estate in the Stellenbosch region, as well as to the biggest motor museum in the western cape. During the first half of the tour a Landrover fitted with bucket seats will take you around the estate situated on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain. While in the vineyards, you will be able to taste the wines of the respective vineyards. After the 1-2 hour safari you return to the tasting room to experience wine and chocolate pairing.
After lunch a Stellenbosch city tour is conducted followed by a scenic drive to Franschhoek for a visit to the Motor Museum to admire the wide range of 80 "golden oldies." dating back to 1902. Return to Cape Town along part of the Paarl Wine Route.

Stop at Waterford Estate and walk to a beautiful Tuscanny-style tasting room for a warm welcome. Here a Land rover with bucket seats awaits you with a specialist Waterford guide to take you on an unforgettable wine safari. On route you will be introduced to the wines of the different vineyards. At certain vintage points you will stop and the guide will share with you the 350-year history of South African Winemaking, while looking at Table Mountain and Constantia where it all started in 1652. Wines you will taste on route will be Waterford Estate Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Kevin Arnold Shiraz and the top of the range wine: The Jem.
After this beautiful tour in the vineyards, you return to the tasting room for a special wine and chocolate pairing encounter to conclude the wine safari. The pairing is beautifully presented on a specially designed tasting board featuring the three tasting glasses and their matching three chocolate tablet. Guests are guided through the tasting with a description of the flavours of each combination that they will encounter in both the wine and from the chocolate.
Stellenbosch city and university drive follows and thereafter a spectacular mountain drive to Franschhoek. Lunch (own account) will be booked on one of the many beautiful estates offering awesome views over the valley. We now board a specially built tram for a mountain- and estate drive taking us to the Franschhoek Motor Museum. Here you will see the remarkable immaculate collection of 80 automobiles (they have more than 300 on the estate) spanning more that 100 years. Return to Cape Town for drop off at around 5pm.
