We’ve created this tour so that visitors can gain a full and valuable experience of Beijing whilst saving on time and money. The tour starts at Exit B of Tian'anmen East station on subway line 1. Tian'anmen Square is located in the center of Beijing and is one of the largest public plazas in the world. Here you can learn the history of the establishment of modern China and visit monuments to the peoples’ heroes. The visit to Tian'anmen Square takes around 30minutes to an hour.

At roughly 10am you will enter The Forbidden City for an extensive tour through this vast complex – once the exclusive domain of Ming and Qing Dynasty Emperors and their court. Walking into its imposing walls you will feel the prosperity of Chinese Imperial families. This segment of the trip starts from the Meridian Gate and ends at the Gate of Divine Prowess, and will take around two hours.

Next you’ll have a picnic style lunch in Jingshan Park with a traditional Chinese lunch box. After the lunch break, you’ll be hiking to the top of Jingshan Hill to enjoy the panoramic view over the Beijing Central Axis and city in total. You should be able to spot other popular Beijing sights like The National Theater (shaped in an egg) and the White Pagoda inside Beihai Park.

The afternoon section will begin at 2:00 p.m. We will start in the hutongs, these neighborhoods represent the traditional lifestyles of local people in Beijing. Beijing City is laid out like a chess board with each hutong running from north to south or east to west. Here you will take a rickshaw ride and discover old Beijing. You will also have the chance to visit a siheyuan (courtyard) family and get to know some Beijing natives.

TThen you’ll have some free time to do some gift shopping and food tasting in Yandai Xiejie, a hidden alley near the Drum Tower. Along the street, there are many traditional Chinese restaurants providing delicacies from all over the country. You can also find an abundance of lovely souvenirs, such as: traditional clothing and accessories, the quotations and badges of Chairman Mao, jingtailan pottery, Maliandao Green tea and more.

Finally you will take the subway to the Chaoyang Theater for the Acrobatic show at 5:30pm. Eye-catching performances, impressive technique and traditional music allow you to experience an entirely new perspective of Chinese folk arts.
