Leaving from Dorset you drive north through Cranborne Chase, the heart of neolithic England. You then visit Knowlton church and henge, magnet for those interested in the mysteries of Earth energy. You will then have a chance to visit the magical ancient site of Stonehenge, World Heritage Site, at your own expense.
A new Visitor Centre at Stonehenge includes an exhibition. After viewing the exhibition a “Land Train” will take you to Stonehenge. You will be provided with an audio guide, available in 10 languages.
Learn about the millennia of use that created Stonehenge as we see it today. Fortress, calendar, temple or a hospital? You decide.
Depart Stonehenge and drive over Salisbury Plain and see if you can spot the famous for crop circles.
You are now in medieval Salisbury and have between 60-90 minutes to stroll around independently. You might like to take some lunch in one of the many restaurants and cafés catering for every taste. Walk around the market square with fish & chips or take a sandwich to the riverside for a picnic.

Within the Cathedral view the best preserved copy of the Magna Carta, the medieval document written in 1215, that forms the foundation of the rule of law and many countries' constitutions.
