We will visit an Aloe Vera farm where we will learn about the cultivation process of this miracle plant and its health applications. We will continue towards “Punta La Entallada” (“La Entallada lighthouse”) where we can enjoy stunning views of the cliffs that surround it.
Our next stop is an ecological farm near Tuineje where we will have the opportunity to taste olive oil, wine and other naturally grown products. Afterwards we will head towards the Las Alcaravaneras farm located in a rural area of great beauty near the town of Betancuria. Here the well known majorera goats are bred and they manufacture a delicious cheese in the traditional way that we can taste accompanied by honey and artisan jams.
We finish our guided tour at the Salt Museum and the Carmen Salt Pans where we will learn about the extraction process of “Fuerteventuras White Gold” which was one of the economical pillars of the island before tourism arrived.
