Explore the hills 5-km south of Florence on a half-day walking tour. Depart from Florence city center and stop for a wine tasting at a 17th century villa before heading back to the original departure point.Meet your guide in Piazza della Signoria and start our walk. Your first stop will be Piazzale Michelangelo, better known as the “Balcony” of Florence, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the city.
Then, see San Miniato al Monte, the Romanesque church standing atop one of the highest points in the city, before reaching a 17th-century Florentine villa where you will visit the gardens, the cellar and enjoy a wine and olive oil tasting. Savor 3 wines with typical appetizers and extra virgin olive oil.
After the tasting head back to Florence walking down the hill on another typical back road that made Tuscany so famous.
The walk has a medium difficulty on the first part (3,5 km up the hill) and easy on the second part (6,5 km). You need to have a good physical condition and be able to walk 10 km with some steps/climb. and remember to put good walking shoes on! Kids over 12 years old are welcome, they must be use to walk.
