Numbers on this small-group tour are limited to seven people, ensuring personal attention from the tour host. After being picked up from your centrally located hotel in Pisa, set off via an air-conditioned vehicle on a 1-hour journey to Florence. As you travel, listen to your informative tour host share information about Florence and the surrounding region.

Once your reach Florence, hop out of your vehicle and get ready to explore. As the ‘cradle of the Renaissance,’ Florence was home to some of the greatest artists of this period, many of whom left their mark on the beautiful city. Gaze in awe at the artistry that surrounds you as you pass by the exquisite sculptures on Piazza della Signoria, the glorious Duomo (Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiori), the Baptistery and the 14th-century Ponte Vecchio bridge.

If you’ve opted for the upgrade, a knowledgeable local guide will show you around and explain the interesting history behind each attraction. If you haven’t upgraded, you can stroll around Florence at your leisure, before rejoining your host and small group at Biblioteca Nazionale after lunch (own expense).

From there, walk through the elegant streets up the sloping hill to Piazzale Michelangelo. Have your camera at the ready as you reach the top; this elevated square offers panoramic views of Florence and beyond. Then, head to the Uffizi Gallery (entrance ticket not included)

Leave the museum behind and pay a visit to a Tuscan winery, where you’ll get to sip on four samples of local wine, before departing for Pisa where the tour will conclude.
