Ranging from quirky beach cottages to multi-million dollar homes, this seaside neighborhood is full of character and local color. The scenery quickly changes as you enter the welcome shade of First Landing. With diverse landscapes ranging from cypress lowlands to canopied forests, this living salt marsh ecosystem is home to various species of bird including Osprey and Heron, as well as bountiful plant life. Pedaling this beginners’ loop takes you alongside the tranquil waters of Broad Bay, a branch of the Chesapeake, and finally out to the 64th street “Narrows” area, home to a quaint beach and boat ramp facility, and a popular “sunny day” local spot.
