Light a candle honoring your loved ones and visit the great oak tree where the Marian apparitions are said to have occurred. Visit the Apparitions Chapel, the Holy Trinity Cathedral and the other monuments that make up the Sanctuary, including a piece of the Berlin Wall. End this part of the journey by visiting the houses of the little shepherds and get to know a little more about how they lived when the apparitions appeared to them. You’ll be in Fatima all the morning.
Continue your holistic journey toward Nazaré, famous for its giant waves and McNamara’s world record for largest wave ever surfed. Have lunch in the Beach and observe these giant waves at the lighthouse. Explore Our Lady of Nazaré Sanctuary and Sítio da Nazar’, a place full of ancient legends and miracles. You’ll be in Nazaré approximately 2-hours.
End your day with a visit to the most romantic village in Portugal, Óbidos. Enter inside the walls and feel how it is to live in the time of the kings. Taste some Ginja d’Óbidos, a Portuguese liqueur made by infusing ginja berries. You’ll be in Óbidos approximately 1.5-hours before being returned back to your hotel.
