Explore the rural areas of contemporary Cambodia's most prosperous region on this one-day cycling tour of Siem Reap's countryside. Cycle on quiet dirt roads along the river, passing green rice paddy fields and farmlands, visit an ancient pagoda, and stop at local villages where we are welcomed by friendly locals, and join in on their daily activities. Enjoy traditional Cambodian lunch near the reservoir before riding back to Siem Reap where we end our trip. We set off on a smooth tarmac city road before jumping on quiet dirt roads where we ride alongside the river, observing the close connection between the river and those that live on its banks along the way.

On this gentle and scenic 25mi (40km) ride through Sieam Reap's countryside, we ride past green rice paddy fields and fertile farmlands, pay a visit to an ancient pagoda, and experience Cambodia’s rural way of life up close by joining the locals as they teach us how to make hand woven bamboo baskets, and learn how to harvest and boil natural palm sugar.

Lunch at a local restaurant near West Baray, a rectangular earthen reservoir, and enjoy traditional Cambodian cuisine. After lunch it's back on the bikes for more riding through the beautiful scenery before heading back to Siem Reap where our cycling exploration ends.

This day trip is suitable for everyone, and guests enjoy plenty of light refreshments throughout the trip. This 9-hour tour is not an overnight trip.
