A Buddhist monk Manjushri came to Kathmandu valley from northern part of Nepal
and lived in Nilgri- Hill, which is known as Nagarkot, a famous spot at
presents for adventure enthusiasts. He did worship over the light of
Swoyambhunanth for 3 days and 3 nights. He cut southern hill wall of the valley

the Kathmandu city; locals call Hanuman Dhoka- an ancient residence of King.
The entire Royal Palace complex is full of historical monuments and beautiful
arts and architecture. The entire complex is derived the name after
installations the statue of Hanuman, the Monkey God into the main entrance of
the Palace. This rich cultural heritage of Nepal synthesized in Kathmandu
valley, the stronghold of the ancient Newari, the indigenous people of valley.
Visit Kumari Ghar, the residence of living virgin Goddess which it was built on
18th century by King Jaya Prakash Malla. It is believed that Kumari is the
incarnation of goddess Taleju, the protective deity. Kastamandap (Wooden House)
was built on 12th century which it said to be constructed from wood of single
tree, therefore Kathmandu obtains name of from this historic building
Kastamandap.
Taleju Temple was built by King Mahendra Malla in 1562 A. D. the Goddess of
Power, the height of temple is 36.6 meter, It is opened to the public just once
in a year during Dashai Festival. Kal Bhairav Temple built in 17th century by
King Pratap Malla, the seat of justice.
Then walk back to Thamel, Tridevi Marg through local market of Ashan.
