The day will take you through all the sites whilst your professional local guide will give you some interesting insight into how life used to be when these sites were at their full working power.You will be picked up at 9.00am from your hotel in Selcuk to be taken to the Ancient City of Ephesus. This city was once the Capital of the East for the Roman Empire. These amazing marble ruins are some of the best you will see in the world. Ephesus used to be one of the largest cities with a population of over 200,000 people dating back to as far as 3000 years ago. There are many highlights of the ruins and you will get to visit them all including the Celsius Library as well as the Great Theater and the Temple of Hadrian.
The Temple Of Artemis is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Now standing in over run swamp land, the foundations of the temple can still be clearly seen and you get a very clear impression of how majestic this temple once was. From what is still left you can see the beauty of the sculptured columns capitals and shafts.
