This special program is giving our visitors an opportunity to care for our elephants, visit to the Elephant Dung Paper Factory and see their natural habitat. Lunch and round-trip hotel transfer is included. Please note that riding is not allowed during this tour.

Come and join our Elephant’s Friend Day at Baanchang Elephant Park while you are in Chiang Mai. This special program is giving our visitors an opportunity to care for our elephants, visit to the Elephant Dung Paper Factory and see their natural habitat. Lunch and round-trip hotel transfer is included. Please note that riding is not allowed during this tour.Our driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby in Chiang Mai city area around 8:30am and head to Baanchang Elephant Park. Enjoy an hour scenic drive passing by local shops, villages and jungle.
Upon arrival, you will see some elephants playing water in a man-made pond at the entrance of the park. First, you will get change into Mahout clothing and our staff will provide short briefing about the program.
Next, we will visit to an Elephant Dung Paper Factory to witness the process of making paper from dung. Elephant dung is a renewable source of material and this makes it an environmentally responsible alternative to ordinary paper. You will be surprised with the paper quality made from the world’s largest land mammals.
After the short tour at dung paper factory, you will get a chance to spend some quality time with this gentle giants, gain an insight into their history and behaviors. We will allocate some bananas and sugar cane to feed to our elephants and then bring them for a walk in the jungle.
Once we return back from a jungle walk, you will walk with the elephants to our pond and join them in the water for refreshing bath. You can bathe and brush them with endless amount of fun. Please remember to take some beautiful photos while elephants playing with you.
To finish off you will be changed back to your own clothes and enjoy the delicious lunch prepared by our staff at the park. Our driver will transfer you back to your hotel safely around 4pm after a wonderful experience at Baanchang Elephant Park.
