El Yunque Rainforest is composed of mountains that face the trade winds which bring moisture from the ocean, resulting in precipitation over a diverse ecosystem. You'll experience the magic of this tropical paradise, where you will find over 150 species of ferns and 240 species of trees (88 of them endemic to Puerto Rico and 23 endemic to El Yunque). You will also find orchids, exotic birds and other wildlife, including our national symbol, the Coquí tree frog.

El Yunque is located one hour from San Juan. The tour's first stop in the rainforest is the Yokahu observation tower where you will see an incredible panoramic view of the reserve forest and the north east coast.. Photos are a must as you learn about the flora, fauna and history of the place from our knowledgeable guides. Then, we trek to secret waterfalls, which is about fifteen minutes of hiking, avoiding the big crowds from hotels and cruise ships. The adventure finishes in a pool area, its best kept secret! This trail is not shown on maps so is not frequented by tourists. After a few minutes of hiking, we'll arrive at a pristine, natural river pool with crystal clear waters where you can take a swim, swing from a rope to the river and enjoy also the natural water slides.
