Ek’Balam

Admire the unique sculptures in high relief that have surprised archaeologists and visitors. These sculptures support the recently restored Jaguar Mouth sculpture in the front of the main temple. Walk through the ball game (Pok Ta Pok) and the false arch, both are architectural icons of the Maya culture.
Cenote Maya
You'll then head to visit and refresh yourself at the Cenote Maya. Descend into the region’s most impressive Cenote of 60 meter diameter and an almost perfect circular shape. Enjoy its beautiful rock formations and swim in this large and fresh natural pool. Ascend from the underworld through a tunnel or use the large wooden staircase. Optional included adventure activities here are: swimming, diving, Trepachanga (ropes), Tarzan vine and rappel down 26 meters (264lbs is the maximum weight for the rappel activity).
You will then visit a Maya hut and learn about the architecture of the region and the use of plants for medical purposes. Continue to the handcraft market which is a small and colorful market where you can find quality local handcrafts. Buy them and you will contribute to benefit the Maya artisans of the region.
