Will you find the Holy Grail and the secrets of Rosslyn Chapel that have inspired poets, artists and authors for centuries? None other than Dan Brown with his best seller, 'The Da Vinci Code' was one such author and the subsequent film has enticed thousands of visitors every year. After the Chapel, you will get the chance to have a wee dram of Scotch during a tour of the Glenkinchie Whisky Distillery, otherwise known as the Edinburgh Malt.Leave from the Port at Edinburgh promptly at 10.30am. The first stop is Rosslyn Chapel where we will stay for 1 hour. You will have the opportunity to enjoy the lecture about the Chapel or marvel at the building at your own pace. For those who are able, you have the option to make a trip for the short 5 minute walk to the Rosslyn Castle, a very interesting ruin. The terrain is quite steep here and for those with mobility issues, this walk is not recommended (entrance is not included)

Next you will make your way to the lunch stop. This usually takes place at the breathtaking medieval Dalhousie Castle, however this is not always possible due to events at the castle and alternative arrangements will be made. Lunch will take around 1 hour (not included).

Afterwards, visit the Glenkinchie Whisky Distillery where you will visit the exhibition centre and enjoy a tour and tasting. Your guide will not be present on this tour and will wait in the centre unless the group wish the guide to join. Once the Whisky tour and visit has finished, you will make your way back to the ship for an arrival of 4.30pm. If your ship has an earlier departure time, the supplier will make shorter visits at the attractions and arrange a fast food lunch on the go, for exmple: fish and chips or a packed lunch.
