The samples add up to a very large meal, so be sure to come with an empty stomach!Meet your guide at a designated spot for a small-group introduction before embarking on your 3-hour walking tour of Shanghai street food. It's an easy way to sample city delicacies while exploring the dynamic streets.

Together, stroll to Shouning Lu, a street market teeming with seafood and desserts such as fruit puddings and purees. For the next hour or so, enjoy sampling local delights such as Shanghai’s famously stewed crawfish, grilled eggplant, and spiced vegetable skewers. Wash down dessert with a local beer, baijiu, water or soft drink, but be sure to save room for more!

Walk off your mini-meal as you head south to your second food stop in located just a 15-minute stroll away. You'll taste the best grilled lamb this side of Kashgar, paired with a hard-to-find regional beer at a restaurant owned by a family of Uighurs, a mostly Muslim minority. Your guide will bring a vegetarian option if requested.

Then take a seat at an authentic Sichuanese homestyle restaurant where you'll sample several of the region's famous spicy dishes, as well as other delectable items your small group has collected from the famed street vendors along ZhaoZhou Lu.

Conclude your tour a 10-minute walk from Xintiandi or by catching a nearby taxi or subway.
