This excursion starts with a drive on small back roads, through remote villages and ever changing landscapes. You will visit some beautiful temples in Bangli. Passing by the Agung volcano, enjoying the peace at Tirta Gangga and explore more in the south of Bali!After pick you up from your centrally located hotel in Ubud. First stop will be in Bangli, where you will visit Pura Kehen Temple, one of the most beautiful temples in Bali. Set on a wooded hillside and built in the 11th century, this temple is often described as the miniature version of the mother temple Besakih. It is dedicated to the three respectfully Trimurti Balinese God Brahma, Winsu and Shiwa.
Proceed to the north along the slope of the Agung volcano, the holiest and highest mountain in Bali.
Further you will drive through a landscape with breathtaking rice terraces and snake fruit plantations until you reach to Tirta Gangga, a lovely water palace built in 1946 by the king of Karangasem. The swimming pools and ornamental ponds in the beautiful garden are a fascinating reminder of the Balinese rajah's old days. It is a great place to escape from the hustle and bustle of South Bali. On a very narrow road, high above the sea, you will surround the Mount Seraya, with its amazing barren landscape contrast to the deep blue sea. If the weather is perfect, Lombok, the neighbor island, can be clearly seen.
After lunch at a local restaurant with spectacular view over the Lombok Strait, we continue the drive to the south through the eastern coast with its beaches of black lava sand, you will pass by Ujung and Candidasa villages.
After the sightseeing experience, you will be taken back to your centrally located hotel in Ubud.
