Join up with your 'amphibus' in Bur Dubai at your choice of the available departure times. The bright yellow bus is a specially modeled amphibious vehicle similar to what are sometimes known as ‘ducks’, and turns from bus to boat to give you brilliant views of the city from both Dubai Creek and dry land.
Climb aboard the bus and set off on land, with a professional driver at the wheel. As you travel hear from your guide how Dubai transformed from a tiny fishing village to futuristic metropolis in just a few decades. Travel through Bur Dubai, passing traditional wind-towers, the Shindagha Heritage Village — a recreation of the old fishing village — and the Shindagha Tower, one of Dubai's old defensive watchtowers.
When you reach Dubai Creek, get ready for your water tour. Hold on tight as you drive down into the Creek, entering the water with a humungous splash.
With your bus now transformed into a boat, enjoy a fun cruise along the Creek, passing Dubai’s waterfront landmarks. Glide by the Old Souk, Gold Souk and Spice Souk, and admire the Grand Mosque and Deira Twin Towers. You’ll also catch great views of Al Maktoum Bridge and the Creek’s water traffic as wooden dhows, yachts and abras (wooden water taxis) drift by your window.
After 30 minutes on the water, return to dry land and view more of the city’s sights as you take a different route back. Your tour ends at your starting point when you leave the vehicle.
