Roar through the desert and negotiate dunes on an exciting 5.5-hour self-drive safari from Dubai. Upgrade to allow two people to drive, if you wish.Leave your central Dubai hotel with your guide and head into town to collect your air-conditioned Jeep. Receive a walkie-talkie and driving instructions, and hop aboard.
Once you’re ready, leave Dubai in convoy and drive along tarmac roads through the desert. After roughly 45 minutes, arrive at a desert base. With instructions from your guide, deflate your 4x4 tires to the right pressure for off-road driving.
Then, take off into the desert. Spin your steering wheel to master the undulating terrain, and follow the guide’s vehicle through the desert landscape, building up to higher dunes as you gain confidence. Enjoy frequent photo stops and watch for wildlife scampering for cover in the sands. If you’ve upgraded to allow two of you to drive, take turns at the wheel to share the fun.
As the sun fades, drive up the high dune of Fossil Rock. Admire the desert sunset from the top, and speed back down to tackle a final driving challenge set by your guide.
After around 2.5 hours, reflate your tires and drive your 4x4 back to Dubai. Your experience then ends with a hotel drop-off.
