Introduction, Paperwork & Demo
Upon arriving to our location, we will quickly fill out paperwork, introduce you to our staff and ensure that you are full comfortable with the buggies before departing. All check in procedures are in place to give you ample time to make yourself comfortable in the seat of your dune buggy. Once we have the basics covered, we will take a few pictures and get on our way to the secluded island you have been waiting to see!
Driving To Our First Snorkeling Location
On the drive towards our first snorkeling destination (aka Shark’s Cove) we will pass Lanikea (Turtle Beach), Waimea Valley, Waimea Bay, Three Tables and many other jaw dropping sights. You are about to begin a seriously memorable expedition and anytime you smell sunscreen, you will think of your ride in the dune buggy J.
Upon arriving at Shark’s Cove, we will have a brief training on how to use the snorkel equipment, ensure that you are full comfortable and head into the water. The bottom of Shark’s cove is made up of large smooth boulders and coral heads forming small caves and ledges for marine life to hide. The walls of the surrounding cliffs provide calmer water attracting schooling surface fish. The perfect environment for your snorkeling expedition. Some of the marine life you will see includes Green Sea Turtles, Butterfly fish, Parrot Fish, Damsel Fish, Surgeon Fish, Big Eye, Trigger Fish, Eels, and even Crustaceans.
Driving To Our Second Snorkeling Location
After finishing our first stop, we will grab a quick bite to eat at the Shark Cove Food Truck Park where there is an array of choices for even the pickiest eater, to the shrimp truck lovers! Once our bellies our full, we begin our drive in our dune buggies to the serene Kuilima Cove. As we drive, we will pass Pipeline Beach, Sunset Beach, Kawela Bay, Fresh Fruit Stands and more.
Upon arriving at Kuilima Cove, the first thing you will notice is how peaceful the entire area is, not to mention how warm and soft the beautiful white sand beach is. We will quickly do a safety check of your equipment jump back into the water for our second snorkeling adventure. At this cove, you can plan to see some of the same marine life, however a completely different sea floor and make up. The one benefit to this area is typically no matter the time of the year, the rock barrier that protects the cove prohibits many of the waves from being an issue. This makes for a spectacular time to truly get some amazing under water photos.
Drive, Dessert and Shop
So, we have completed our snorkeling adventures, had some amazing lunch and even grabbed some pretty killer photos. You ask, what possibly could be left? Well, how about some shave ice and shopping?
