See the world's most northerly population of Bottlenose Dolphins in the Moray Firth.  An experience made all the more enjoyable by the stability and space offered by the tour boat, Dolphin Spirit.
This purpose-built passenger vessel offers easy access, all round visibility and exceptional comfort for up to 60 dolphin watchers on two decks.
Your journey starts at Inverness Marina, where it's easy to park your car.Your journey starts alongside the yachts and pleasure craft berthed at Inverness Marina and departs directly into the mouth of the River Ness, where the river meeds the Beauly Firth.  Each sailing is accompanied by a specialist guide, who will provide a commentary throughout.
Sometimes dolphins can be seen here, especially younger animals or pregnant females.  They seem to be happy in the waters incredibly close to shore.  If there are dolphins to be seen here your skipper will hold station to allow time for photographs, before moving on to the next stage of your cruise.
This takes you out into the Beauly Firth.  The waters to the west of the Kessock Bridge are shallower and generally calmer than you will experience later in the trip. This is where females with calfs can sometimes be found - away from other members of the pod.  Keep an eye out for Herons, Grebes and Otters on the shoreline. We sail gently through these waters, in a northerly loop to sit off the shore at North Kessock before turning easy towards the Kessock Bridge.

Now we head for the deeper waters in the main Moray Firth Channel. You'll go underneath the Kessock Suspension Bridge and out into the Moray Firth itself. Here you might find some of the larger members of the Moray Firth Dolphin pad if they're feeding or socializing. Often they will follow the boat or "bow ride" just in front. Keep an eye out for inquisitive Grey and Common Seals, Cormorants, Shags and other seabirds.

Dolphin Spirit will complete a loop around the Inner Moray Firth, depending on Dolphin sightings, before returning under the Kessock Bridge to Inverness Marina where you can disembark and return to your vehicle.

Note that access to the Dolphin Spirit is all be means of ramps.  There are no stairs involved in getting on and off the craft.  Dolphin Spirit can easily carry 60 passengers.
