From Shilshole Bay to Discovery Point, follow an ancient water route used by Seattle's earliest inhabitants. Be amazed as you witness 1500 pound Stellar sea lions hoist themslves out of the water and onto Ballard's famous "Hamburger buoy".
Once across the bay, you can hop out of your boat and check out the historic lighthouse. Back down at the massive driftwood-strewn beach, enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch (provided).
Then we'll be off, back to Shilshole Marina to part ways until our next adventure.

Then we'll be off, back to Shilshole Marina to part ways until our next adventure.Meet at our docks 15 minutes prior to your departure for a technique and safety briefing. Once you are comfortable with the equipment and ready to go, we will launch and head out into Shilshole Marina. Along the breakwater and outside the marina, be on the lookout for harbor seals, sea lions, eagls, herons, crabs, jellyfish and more!
We will cross Salmon Bay and explore the shallow waters next to Discovery Point before hauling the kayaks up on the beach for a respite from paddling. Check out the historic lighthouse on the point.
Back on the beach, enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch before hopping back in the kayaks for the return trip.
