This program will be accompanied by a PADI Scuba Dive Instructor and includes dive equipment, transport to the dive sites (Gili Islands) and dive insurance.
Never dived before and want to know what it’s like? Your PADI diving adventure starts with a PADI Introduction Dive, also called PADI Discover Scuba Diver (PADI DSD). Your PADI instructor will introduce the scuba gear and explain how to breathe and move underwater. Under the supervision of your instructor you will dive until 12 meters in a safe and calm environment. Like this you can explore the fascinating underwater world with your own eyes.
We promise: You will never forget your first breath underwater and how it feels like to move weightlessly around. We also have to warn you: you may never be happy on dry land again! When you do dive for the first time, you will discover freedom and a whole new world; nothing compares to the feeling and exhilaration of breathing underwater - and it becomes very addictive!
Before your first dive you meet with your instructor who will brief you about the scuba diving equipment, how to breathe underwater, what will happen physically underwater, hand signals and demonstrate some exercises. Then we go together on the boat and to the dive site. On the dive site you will get familiar with breathing with a regulator by first snorkelling around on the surface. We will take all the time you need until you feel comfortable before we finally go down together. Underwater you are never alone, your instructor is always at your side. After the diving we will go back together by boat to DSM Dive Center on Gili Trawangan where you can share your first experience with other divers and with your instructor. The whole DSD 1 takes around 2.5 to 3 h
