Enjoy Madrid from an unique perspective as you embark on a Guided Segway Ninebot Tour. This is an unique and fun way to admire some of the top sights of the city, including the " Madrid de Los Austias ". Explore the streets and monuments of the old part of town. For your own comfort and safety, we limit the tours to 10 people.Meet your friendly guide in Central Madrid and start with a practice session to get familiar with your two-wheeled personal transporter. Only once you feel comfortable with the Ninebot ( Segway like self balancing scooter ), you will follow the team into the streets of the old part of the city.
You will glide from Calle San Nicolas to the Lepanto garden and plaza Oriente where the famous equestrian statue of Philip IV on horseback stands, adjacent to the Palacio Real. You will then go to the Plaza de la Catedral de Almudena that faces the Palacio Real. Then you will slide on the Viaducto Segovia before entering the typical old district of La Latina where you will admire the Iglesia de San Andrés, the Iglesia de San Pedro, the Palacio Arzobispal, Palacio Del Cordon, and the Basilica de San Miguel.
From there you will reach the famous Plaza de la Villa, where you can see three buildings: the Casa de la Villa which was the Town Hall before 2007, the Casa Cisneros, and the Casa y Torre de Los Lujanes.
After this stroll through the shaded streets of La Latina you'll head on to the Mercado San Miguel, the mecca of gastronomy in Madrid.
Then you will cross the beautiful Plaza Mayor, Madrid's main square located right in the center of the city.
You will head off to the plaza de Jacinto Benvente, go past the Palacio de Santa Cruz where the Ministerio de Exteriores Asuntos ( Foreign Ministry) is located near the Iglesia de la Santa Cruz.
You will go down the typical streets of Cortes where you will find many bars and tapas restaurants before joining the kilometer zero of the famous Puerta Del Sol with its clock tower and Real Casa del Correos.
You will discover off the beaten track small streets between Callao and Opera where you will be able to see the Monasterio de Las Descalzas Reales before joining the Teatro Real .
You will then explore one of the great shopping streets of Madrid, Calle Arenal, and then pass by the sculpture of the plane crash of the terrace No. 3 Calle Milanese.
The tour will end with a visit to the Iglesia de San Gines, one of the oldest Madrid church located on the way to Santiago de Compostela.
