On this tour you will learn about the life of one of the most popular characters in the world of football, Diego Armando Maradona. You will visit the most significant places for his personal and professional life to get to meet the man who became a myth. The tour includes a visit to the museums of Argentino Juniors and Boca Juniors, the two Argentine soccer clubs where the idol played and made great achievements.
Maradona won major sporting achievements both with the Argentinian team and with some of the clubs where he played nationally and internationally. He led the Argentina team that took victory in the 1986 World Cup, making him a national hero. He was also runner-up in 1990 and champion of the Youth World Cup in 1979. His most important achievements at club level were playing for Napoli in Italy, where he won a UEFA Cup and the only two Serie A titles held by the institution.
You will meet your guide at a central meeting point to begin learning about this fascinating story. First, you will visit the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, where he married his first wife. Then, you'll go to Argentinos Juniors Club that saw him grow and where he first played as a professional football player. Here you will visit the stadium where he got his first achievements and the Museum that still retains his trophies and awards.
Then you'll head to the club he loved, the Bombonera, the stadium of Boca Juniors. formally known as Alberto J Armando Stadium. Here is where Maradone spent most of his career. Inside the stadium, you will visit the preferential seats, the popular sector, local locker rooms and finish in a stand where we will see the private box of Diego Maradona. At the Museum of the Boquense Passion, every visitor is offered a unique opportunity to relive the rich history of over 100 years of the Club who accompanied our character.
In addition to the story related to Maradona, you will know about the most famous players who played in the club, know the history and evolution of the jersey and go to the trophy room. We will also see a film that recreates firsthand what it is like to play at the club.
