Devon House is a heritage site located in Kingston, the new capital city of Jamaica. It was built in the 19th century by Jamaica’s first millionaire of African descent. Today this mansion is preserved in its original state and showcased for tourists and locals to tour. At the end of the tour, you'll enjoy a tasty ice cream treat!Enjoy a tour of one of Kingston's most highly visited historical landmarks. Devon House Mansion was built by George Stiebel, the first black Jamaican millionaire. Stiebel was one of three wealthy Jamaicans who constructed elaborate homes during the late 1800s in an area that became known as Millionaires' Corner.

While the other homes have since been demolished, the beautifully maintained Devon House, which was declared a national monument in 1990, still stands in all its historic grandeur. During your visit, delve deeper into the property's history, which dates back to the mid-17th century, when Britain captured Jamaica from Spain.

On the property you can also find a bakery, restaurant, bar, ice cream shop, and a gift and craft shop. There will be a sweet surprise for all guests at the end of the tour of the mansion.
