Visit; Wadi Fanja, Wadi Bani Khalid, Beduin House, Wahiba SandsDepart from Muscat at 08.00am. The first stop will be at Fanja to appreciate the great panoramic views of Wadi Fanja. Proceed through the Sumail Gap in the Hajar Mountains onto Wahiba Sands, a sweeping mass of rolling sand dunes which rise up to 200 meters and are host to a variety of flora and fauna. The ever changing pattern and colors of the dunes in Wahiba Sands that make this area photographic delight.
You will then visit a Bedouin Camp and experience the wonderful hospitality that can be found even in this dessert wildness. Later at Wadi Bani Khalid, you will find small but picturesque villages established deep in this mountain valley. This wadi has beautiful blue pools, a perfect place for a scenic walk along the rocky canyon floor surrounded by huge boulders and sheer cliffs. Wahiba Sands described as a perfect specimen of a sand sea is a 10,000 Sq.km. desert comprising a great variety of dune formations representing stages of its evolution over millions of years.
