Visit 4 beautiful attractions around Antalya in one day. A trip to the ancient cities of Perge and Side, exploration of the Turkish Colosseum in Aspendos and seeing a scenic Kursunlu waterfall. This trip is recommended for enthusiasts of history and nature, with a lunch included in the price.You will leave the hotel around 8am and will proceed to the gates of the ancient city of Perge, where you will be amazed by its monumental gate with fortified towers. Perge was already known 2000 years before Christ as a city dedicated to the goddess, Artemis. In apostolic times, Paul the Apostle came here to propagate Christianity.. You will walk around the ancient angora full of tall columns, as well as enter ancient baths, where Romans were having relaxing treatments. It is incredible in how good of a condition the ancient stadium is preserved, where the best athletes were competing for the winner crown of laurels.
The next attraction will be the Roman Aspendos theatre – the best preserved in the world, where gladiators fought for the crowd. The majestic walls, stage and audience surrounded by arcades is breath-taking. And even more breath-taking is the amazing acoustics inside the theatre, which is still open today.
Right after that, it will be time to head for a lunch on the shores of the ancient Eurymedon river (included in price).
After lunch, the next steps are going to be directed to Side, a gorgeous city located by Mediterranean Sea. During the time of its brilliancy, Side was a center or trade of slaves and piracy. Today, you can admire numerous of monuments that are located on the local sand dunes. The most beautiful ones you will be able to see right by the sea in the port: the temples of Apollo and Athena. The ancient streets and buildings provide an atmosphere that will give you the opportunity to take the best photos. You are also able to walk down the port streets full of stone houses, that today are modern stores with souvenirs.
Your comfortable minibus will take you back to direction of Antalya, stopping at the scenic landscape park with the Kursunlu waterfalls. Despite the fact that you are not allowed to go into the waterfall, you are more than welcome to walk around it and even to its interior.
After the waterfalls, the tour will end; and you will be back to your hotel around 6pm.
