As an interesting way to approach various philosophies in the making of cognacs, you visit 2 family estates with their distilleries. You taste their production : Pineau and single estate cognacs.
You visit a traditional barrel factory (not open to public)
The tour is also an opportunity to discover Romanesque churches, typical sceneries of a terroir considered by many as the “French Tuscany”.
At a typical restaurant, you may have a nice traditional Charentaise lunch prepared with local produces, from starters to Charentaise coffee...
Departure at 9.30am from Cognac or at 9.00am from Bordeaux with a visit of a cooperage.
Then follow the guide through the vineyards with stops explaining the vine growing comparatively to viticulture in vineyards producing wines to drink and then enjoy a French lunch. Visit of a family estate with its distillery. Tasting at the end of the visit. Visit of a second distillery which is supplying eau-de-vie to "world famous" Cognac houses. Return around 6.30pm.Visited two locations : Grande Champagne vineyards and the village of Segonzac.
