Omoa is a town and a municipality in the Department of Cortés in Hondruas. Omoa is located on a small bay of the same name 18 km west of Puerto Cortés on the Caribbean sea coast. The most striking feature is the Fortaleza de San Fernando de Omoa, an 18th-century Spanish fort.
The Real fort was built in 1752, and remodeled in 1759. Next to the Real fort, the fort of San Fernando de Omoa was built from 1756 through 1775. A small town filled with great history and culture, all in a day.

A small town filled with great history and culture, all in a day.You will leave around 7am , heading to Puerto Cortés, one of the main ports in Central America. On the way you will visit Bajamar Beach, a well known Garifuna area so you can enjoy the sand , beach and some very cold drinks .
At noon you will gather your belongings and head out for lunch in Omoa, were you will experience the culinary art of the most delicious seafood such as conch soup and garlic shrimp, as well as many more options.
In the evening, you´ll visit the San Fernando de Omoa fortress.
You will return to San Pedro Sula between 5-6pm.
