Enjoy this day trip to Mekong Delta - a southwestern region, a paradise of rice, tropical fruits, and friendly people. Also called Vietnam's “rice basket,” it is a watery landscape of green fields and sleepy villages, criss-crossed by the brown canals and rivulets fed by the mighty Mekong River.Once you are picked up from your accommodation, you can get ready for a 2-hour coach trip to My Tho - a town at the delta, noted for its exuberant orchards and immense rice fields. Hand–rowing sampans will take you along the beautiful small canals before getting back to a larger boat to cross the river and reach one of the islands floating on the Mekong Delta where you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
You will then enjoy a sample of delicious fruit in the shade of a fruit farmer's garden before continuing via small canals on a sampan. A short trek will then take you to a local house where you will have the chance to taste fresh coconut milk and pick-up tropical fruits by yourself.
On the way back, you will stop at Vinh Trang Pagoda - a beautiful and well-maintained religious sanctuary. Lunch will be held at a traditional restaurant.
Afterwards you will be taken back to Ho Chi Minh City.
