Take off on a day trip from Geneva to explore more of the Lake Geneva area. Drive through the scenic Swiss countryside on your way to your first stop, Lausanne. The cultural center of Switzerland, Lausanne is a beautiful city surrounded by the Swiss Alps. After an orientation tour, you will have free time to stroll around the lake, visit the Olympic Museum or explore however you please.
Then, you'll take a drive along Lake Geneva on the "Corniche", one of the most beautiful roads in Vaud countryside, passing the famous towns of Vevey and Montreux to reach the Château de Chillon, a beautiful lakeside castle that is one of Switzerland's most famous monuments. Enjoy the harbour of Vevey, town of Charlie Chaplin, Nestlé headquarters, and visiting artists such as Victor Hugo, Jean Jacques Rousseau and Delacroix, looking to be inspired by the beautiful lake.
You’ll take a guided tour, and then board a traditional paddle boat for a short cruise on the lake, where you’ll enjoy another stunning view of the castle.
Finally, you'll head back to the town of Montreux, a glamorous tourist resort, where you will have free time to go for a walk along the lake, admire the statue of rock-legend Freddy Mercury, or explore the charming streets streets full of shopping opportunities and landmarks of the famous jazz festival.
On the return drive to Geneva, drinks will be served on the bus.
