Your friendly and professional tour guide will meet you in the lobby of your Falmouth hotel. From there you will board a clean air-conditioned bus. You professional driver and guide will give you tons of information about the beautiful island of Jamaica. Now you are off on your trip to the very remote village of Nine Mile in the beautiful hills of St Ann. As you travel along the northern coastline of Jamaica you will be in awe of the breathtaking views. There will be several rest stops along the way including a 15-minute stop at Columbus Park in Runaway Bay. You will arrive in Nine Miles just in time to meet one of their very knowledgeable guides who will lead you on the tour.
The Nine Mile Tour takes you on a 1 hour and 30 minute journey through the life of reggae legend Bob Marley, starting at his birth and ending at his final resting place. A Rastafarian tour guide will be on hand to guide you around the property and answer all your questions. You will view the room that he slept in as a young child and as an adult when he would return on his many “cooling out” visits. You will also learn about his interests and hobbies and you will see Mount Zion, the spot where he drew his inspiration for many of his songs. Also visit the nearby Ethiopian church where his body was laid to rest with his guitar. Quite a few guests have said that they have felt the presence of Bob Marley.

After the tour, there will be an easy 1-hour hike through the lush green rainforest ending at Scotchies for authentic Jamaican jerk chicken and pork lunch (additional cost).
After lunch the bus will head to Ocho Rios to visit the famous Dunn’s River Falls, an astounding location with falls that extend across more than 600 feet (183 metres). Dunn’s River Falls is one of the top travel destinations on the island. Another remarkable point is that the Dunn’s River is one of the few rivers in the world that flows directly into the Caribbean Sea. The 1 hour and 30 minute hike will begin on the beach. Enjoy climbing up the falls and then hanging out in one of the several lagoons or natural pools along the way. Feel free to splash and dunk as you make your way up the falls assisted by your falls guide who will make sure you are safe as you negotiate your way up the limestone rocks.
