Make your way to Harbourfront Centre (MRT/subway), and hop on a 60-min high-speed ferry to Batam. As we depart Singapore, discover major landmarks of Sentosa Island as your ferry skirts around this beautiful island. Grab a window seat (free-seating) and enjoy sweeping views of the Singapore Straits as your ferry sails towards Indonesia. Upon arrival at Batam, you will be greeted by our friendly tour guide and escorted to a waiting air-conditioned coach. In this day tour, you will get to visit temples, local shops and markets, as well as to feast on a sumptuous seafood lunch (vegetarian option available). Your tour will end in the evening at the ferry terminal (or our new seaside hotel if you have selected overnight tour option) where you will hop on a high-speed ferry back to Singapore Harbourfront Centre.

After an hour at sea, we arrive in Batam and set off on a coach tour. The largest city in the Riau Islands Province of Indonesia. Admire majestic Buddhist architecture at the Maha Vihara Duta Maitreya Temple.
Next, take a tour of the various local shops and markets, where locals trade in foodstuffs, clothing and other goods. Sample the famous local layered cakes, also affectionately known to the locals as Kueh Lapis. This fascinating Kueh Lapis is not difficult to make, but it requires time and a lot of patience. The bakers hover next to the oven for a couple of hours grilling each layer of batter. Kueh Lapis is typically served in small, thin, rich and fragrant slices. We will then walk to an outdoor Indonesian Cultural Dance show (subject to weather conditions).
We then feast on a local seafood lunch with prawns and other seasonal catches (vegetarian option available). Duly refreshed, your coach will drive to Golden City, a leisure park with a wide variety of sport activities such as Go Kart, Paintball, Flying Fox, Kayaking (own expense).
We will also stop by the famous Cheng-Ho cruise replica. Cheng-Ho was the commander in chief of the Chinese expeditionary fleet to the South Seas in the early years of the 15th century. Absorb the stunning views here and snap as many photos as you like, or if you prefer, you can visit the Cheng-Ho mosque nearby.
Finally, we will stop by a local shopping mall for some free time and dinner (own expense) before catching the ferry back to Singapore. Your tour finishes at Harbourfront Centre (MRT/subway).
